The Academy of the Holy Family has business class high-speed wired and wireless Internet connections providing coverage to the entire campus. Each student receives a Chromebook that she uses during the school year. There are 20 workstations in our computer lab, 8 workstations in the library, computers in every classroom and several computers in common spaces in the dormitory. Notebook computers and projectors are also available in all classrooms. The Academy values the blend of traditional methods of education and learning and digital technology in the classroom, including textbooks, whiteboards, tablets, and chalkboards.
Access to the Internet is available from 7am until 10:30pm, with appropriate content filtering systems.
Single semester computer courses taught at the Academy include:
- Introduction to Computer Applications
- Advanced Computer Applications, covering topics like web design, video/audio editing of Academy performances and desktop publishing for Academy events
- Introduction to Computer Programming, an introduction to logical reasoning and problem solving
