This weekend, a blizzard came our way and we received so much snow at the Academy! Many of our international students experienced snow for the first time! They were filled with awe and wonder and questioned why it was cold and wet! Some of them ventured out into the cold to sled down “Killer Hill.” It was an enjoyable day to view the beauty of it all. We thank all those who worked so hard to clear the roads to keep all travelers safe. God bless you!

Bake off competition on a blizzard weekend:
On Sunday, the residents at Marist Hall held the first annual “Baltic Bake-Off Competition.” They had 15 minutes to plan out a dessert using cookbooks, not their phones, and then they had one hour to bake and plate their dessert! They were in teams of two and had to present their desserts to three judges who decided the winner based on creativity, presentation, and taste. They all did such a wonderful job! There were fruit and Nutella crepes, yellow cupcakes with white chocolate, and a Pumpkin Cream Cheese Roll. The YMCA group won with the Pumpkin Roll! A round of applause for all of these amazing bakers!
