Why AHF?

“AHF provides a valuable education to young girls, allowing them to become self-sufficient at an early age. AHF also offers a really varied and loving community, which was very important to me while I was looking for schools. AHF will always have a special place in my heart. I will carry what I learned intellectually and life skills with me for the rest of my life.”

Favorite AHF memory?

“AHF has given me so many wonderful memories. We are often laughing, debating nonsense, and trading cultures. However, there is one that brings a smile to my face just thinking about it. For a long time, I’d wish to hang out under the stars and sing around a bonfire. We did that once. The energy was incredible. We had one of those senior-to-senior moments. We made snacks, and I made lovely veggie meat to go with my sandwich. It was a fantastic experience.”

One thing you’ll miss…

“I never imagined that living in a full house with many other people would be enjoyable until I went to Marist Hall. Everyone taught me so much. I’ll miss our jokes, the rush at 7:30 a.m., movie evenings, my bunk-bed conversations with my roommate, and our Sunday dinners. I am extremely thankful to have had this opportunity. Living there taught me so much, from living on my own in the future (yeah, there is so much I am getting from it to apply in my own life), to keeping my responsibilities in check.”

Post-grad plans:

“I plan on attending college and majoring in psychology and education.”
