On Saturday, September 28, alumnae from near and far gathered at their alma mater for a wonderful weekend of events. It was incredible seeing alumnae from graduating classes ranging from the class of 1961 to 2023. It was also amazing seeing all of the different generations of alumnae intermingling with our current students and sharing stories.
Everyone gathered in our newly renovated Hanlon Hall, which everyone agreed was a beautiful upgrade of their dining and meeting hall for many years. A cookout was enjoyed by all. Guided tours were given by our current students followed by a friendly completion of “AHF Jeopardy”, which was a big hit with the crowd. Everyone present learned something about the school during this fun activity. A lot of “informal mentoring” was happening as well.
Saturday evening, a special dinner was held at the Holiday Inn in Norwich, CT with raffles, prizes, the singing of the school song, and the extraordinary singing talent of alumna Ann Marie Davis.
On Sunday, Sept. 29, our alumnae gathered in celebration of Holy Mass followed by a luncheon. It was an incredible weekend filled with nostalgia and reengagement with the Academy of the Holy Family.
